I have a dual operating system computer, with XP Pro 32bit and Windows 7 64bit. The previously used StarTech card in Firewire 800 mode was slower than USB 2 with both operating systems. The Syba card transfers data between 60-80 Mb/sec to my Seagate GoFlex auxiliary drives with both operating systems. For comparison, USB 2 is around 30 Mb/sec. It is refreshing to see, that some product actually deliver what's written in its specs.
Look guys. i was not sure about buying this PCI Express card. hearing the comments of a crash, or problems with windows 7. it depends what type of computer and OS you have. im running an ACER i5, 1TB hard drive an 3.3 GHZ cpu and windows 7. Annnnnd this card is running beautiful. i use it for my filming dropoff for my editing and im loving the Heck out of it so far. its smothh, dropps off real nice. in my opinon guys, BUY THIS IF YOU DO WHAT I DO!!
